Regalia: What would you say was the biggest take away from Nefer Blue Phoenix?

Fan: How far are you willing to go to get what you want? The story can bring about a reflection of self. When is enough, enough? At what point do you back down and accept defeat or do you never bow down to anyone? I don’t think every person can go through the same trials and tribulations.

Regalia: Besides Anuaka, who is the most memorable character?

Fan: Klee, definitely Klee. She is the only character who is Anuaka’s definitive match. She was Anuaka before Anuaka. They are great foils. And maybe in another lifetime they would have been best friends/

Regalia: What is the most memorable action scene for you?

Fan: The battle against general Hondo. On my god, it was brutal, but has stuck in my mind from the vivid imagery.

Regalia: If Anuaka was living in modern day. What job do you think she would have?

Fan: Politician. You never know what you are going to get with her.

Regalia: What is the most memorable moment of the story, without giving it away?

Fan: It was a certain death that was really unexpected. But should have been expected. It still leaves me somewhat torn. The thing about it is, Anuaka always stays true to who she is. And that sometimes leaves people unsure about what they would have done in a situation.

Regalia: What words would describe the novel?

Fan: What is the saying? I laughed, I cried. I was in it for the long haul, but ultimately it is an epic tragedy.

Regalia: Give the story a theme song.

Fan: Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys

Regalia: We at Red Regalia believe that Nefer Blue Phoenix would make an amazing movie. For the readers to under the elements of the story, what movie would you compare it to?

Fan: There is no movie that really comes to mind. It is in its own lane.
